A map drawn up at the request of the King's Intendant attests to the presence of Château Champion to the north of the Jurisdiction of Saint-Émilion as early as 1785. Since the 18th century, eight generations of the Bourrigaud family have succeeded one another in making Château Champion a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. In 1994, Pascal Bourrigaud took over from his father at the head of this 7-hectare estate. With his wife Véronique, a guide and interpreter specialising in Saint-Émilion, he welcomes you to a beautiful, classic-style wine estate.
Your visit begins with a stroll along a path laid out among the vines and continues through the cellars and wine storehouses. You are then invited into the grape-pickers' room, where the large wooden table and benches seem to be waiting for you for some imminent agape. After tasting Château Champion wines, enjoy a family picnic in the grounds.
