Situated in the heart of the prestigious Saint-Emilion hillsides, Château Godeau, a pretty 7-hectare property neighbouring illustrious estates such as La Mondotte and Tertre Roteboeuf, was acquired by the Florisoone family at the end of 2012.
Château Godeau is a vineyard located entirely on one of the highest slopes in the St-Emilion appellation (103m), in the commune of Saint Laurent des Combes. The limestone slopes are underlain by a thick layer of clay, giving the vines optimum drainage and, above all, exceptional water regulation. Our steeply sloping, north/north-west facing soils nurture a vineyard with an average age of 45 years.
