This elegant chateau in the neoclassical style has been home to a Margaux First Growth since 1855
Enter the estate along a path that leads through sumptuous gates, and discover this elegant chateau in the neoclassical style, home to a Margaux First Growth since 1855... Château Giscours opens out onto an estate of 300 hectares, 86 of which are dedicated to the production of a truly exceptional wine. The first vines were planted here all the way back in 1552. From this period, the same exceptional, gravel-rich soil remains, ensuring the wine's continued reputation. The chateau we see today was erected on the site of a medieval keep, designed to protect the surrounding area from attack. While the original edifice is long gone, its fervent, impassioned spirit remains, having been passed down through the generations of men and women who have tended to the estate's vines, in the Medoc sunshine. Today, the estate is world-renowned for its wines, its architecture, and the magnificent "Ferme Suzanne" reception room that adjoins the property.
