Situated on one of the most beautiful hillsides in Bayon, Château Falfas has made Bourgeais wine famous since the 14th and 15th centuries. The estate belonged to the Lords of Lansac back then (old aristocracy loyal to the English crown) and the wines were exported mostly to
Edward’s court. Nowadays, this very fine Louis XIII style manor house, listed as a Historic Monument, belongs to John and Véronique Cochran. They have tended 22 hectares since the end of 1988, in keeping with biodynamic farming methods, and would be delighted to share their love for the land.
