The Rose Perrière vineyard is located in the village of Lussac. The first vines were planted by monks in a convent in the Middle Ages. The vineyard owes its name to the stream known as "La Perrière", from the word "Pierrière" - stone quarries. Covering 14 hectares, the vines benefit from a well-drained clay-limestone subsoil. Jean-Luc Sylvain, a renowned cooper from Bordeaux's right bank, bought the property in 2003 and undertook major renovation work on the winery, storage buildings and vineyard.
