On the tranquil banks of the Garonne, cast your eyes on the centuries-old vines that surround Chateau Kirwan...
The estate is named after its founder, an Irishman from Galway by the name of Marc Kirwan, who took ownership in 1775. It was, however, his children who oversaw the construction of the elegant chateau, the classical architecture of which is still admired today.
In 1925, the Schÿler family added the chateau their already impressive portfolio of wine properties.
This 1855 Third Growth is located in prime wine territory, in the heart of the Margaux appellation: the chateau's exceptional soils are rich in ancient gravel, making for a truly remarkable terroir.
Take a tasting-tour to learn more about the property's fascinating history, and the savoir-faire required to produce the property's magnificent wine. Stay and enjoy a gourmet lunch, or a personalised group visit.
